When a fat fire happens, follow these instructions:

Turn off the gas at the burner control and at the source​

Remove the meat from the grill with tongs

Throw baking soda over the fire, or use a fire extinguisher

Avoid using water to extinguish the fire

Close the lid

Call 000 if the fire continues, spreads to the surrounding areas, or to the gas bottle.
